About Me

Hello,

I have been interested in touch for many years, from the importance of a handshake or a hug to an understanding of the physiology and neuroscience of touch and the experience.

In 2018, following 25 years working in jobs linked to my psychological training I decided to change career. Using this experience and knowledge as a foundation I started my training to become a Biodynamic massage therapist at the Cambridge Body Psychotherapy Centre. The first step on a journey that continues to fascinate and intrigue me.

I currently split my time between working in a hospice and my private practice. I continue to develop my experience with light touch therapeutic techniques, with a special interest in Scars. Having volunteered on several courses in the past few years, I am now training to be a Sharon Wheeler's ScarWork tutor.

As an individual I am passionate about the world and our environment. I believe that small changes in how we think and live add up. Listening to our bodies, the seasons and those we respect helps each of us to make a difference to our lives and the lives of others in our own unique way. I am lucky enough to live in the country with my daughter and an out of control garden!

with love, Laura
